D-Life has been a true blessing to our church. Dr. Bill Wilks led a D-Life Boot Camp at our church. Since that time we have experienced the benefits of D-Life such as building unity among the brothers, increasing our knowledge of the Word, and building spiritual accountability through D-Groups. I love having seeing people of different ages in our D-Groups. The insights and the sweet fellowship that we enjoy in our D-Groups is quickly making this time the highlight of the week.
I recently learned of D-Life through an article that appeared in the July 2, 2015, edition of The Alabama Baptist. It presented a process for making disciples and disciple makers that was proving to be successful. I was convinced that D-Life was a doable process for producing disciple makers patterned after the ministry of Jesus. Therefore, I invited Dr. Bill Wilks to conduct a D-Life Boot Camp for our church. Our church is now forming our first D-Life Groups. We anticipate the blessings of God as we follow Jesus in disciple making.
Dr. Bill Wilks led our church through the D-Life Boot Camp. The biblically solid, yet simple, approach to discipleship as a lifestyle rather than a program so resonated with the congregation on Sunday morning that we saw the best Sunday evening attendance I can remember. Dr. Wilks' genuinely excited approach to his teaching, and his sold-out commitment to building the Kingdom through multiplying small groups more than equipped and prepared our church to start our own D-Life groups. Our groups are forming now and I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do!
D-Life is making discipleship real for our people. We finally have a tool that can be used at all age-levels and stages of life. With no materials to buy, the Bible is the textbook. For too long, the church has made discipleship about curriculum and programs. D-Life puts disciple-making in the context of real life for real people.
Bill Wilks led my Education Staff through the D-Life training. We were absolutely amazed! It is simple, yet profound. It has the basic ingredients of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer; but finally, a discipleship strategy that incorporates ministry, accountability, and . . . drum roll please . . . multiplication! If you are looking for a discipleship process that both makes and multiples disciples of Jesus Christ, then this is it!"
